Caviar Pie Appetizer – Exotic & Easy!

I grew up in a rural area of California where there is too little opportunity to expand my culinary interest. In high school, already dependent on food, I wrote in a cooking class at the community center. I do not know the name of the woman who taught the course, but forty years later I'm still with her recipes!

After all my travels and moves around the world, I just saved from my youth. But my good friend, Carolyn Kelso, with whom I sharedRecipes gave them away. That there is more to make today, both because everybody likes potlucks and parties, our recipe for caviar pie.

It 'simple, elegant, tasty and different. 'S incredibly easy to do, to take to a party, and serve. Every time I serve it, almost everyone asks me the recipe. I only wish I still had the name of the woman that I can give her credit.

I use a food processor for all parties, so that a creamy, dreamy feeling for each layer.

CAVIAR PIE

Oil quiche or spring-form. I like to use a spring-form, so that the layers revealed in the very high and are serving.

1. Layer

Easy Pie Crust Recipe – Best Easy pastry recipe

Making homemade pie crust is easier than you think. Here's a basic recipe for the pastry, yes, it really only 4 ingredients. To make your pie crust even better, first, chill the bowl and cutter in the refrigerator. Use ice cold water to the mix.

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon salt

1 cup shortening

1 / 2 cup water

Directions

In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. With a fork or pastry cutter, down to the cutMixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in water until the mixture forms a ball.

Put the dough in half. Shape into balls. In aluminum foil and store for 4 hours or overnight in refrigerator.

Roll out the dough on a floured counter. No more pasta.

A cake crumbly crust every cooks dream home. If your dough is too dry, add a tablespoon more water for the pasta dough. For ease of handlingRoll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper.

1 1 / 4 cup flour

1 / 4 teaspoon salt

1 / 2 cup shortening, chilled

3 tablespoons ice water

Directions

Mix flour and salt in a medium bowl. With a pastry blender, cut in the cold reduction until the mixture resembles crumbs. Drizzle 2-3 tablespoons of ice water on the flour.

Toss to moisten the mixture with a fork, add more water, a few drops at a time until theDough holds together.

Gently gather dough particles together into a ball. Put the dough in plastic wrap and chill 30 minutes before rolling.

Roll out the dough and place it in a pie plate.

This is a great cake recipe to use for your special cake. For the pastry crust, after turning the dough into the pan, refrigerate for 40 minutes, then place in freezer for 20 minutes, then quickly addFill and bake immediately.

1 / 2 teaspoon salt

1 / 8 teaspoon baking powder

4 tablespoons butter

5 tablespoons shortening

1 egg

2 teaspoons white wine vinegar

3 ice cubes

1 / 2 cup cold water

Directions

Put the butter and shortening measured on a plate in the freezer for 20 minutes.

Measure the flour, cake flour,Sugar, yeast and salt in bowl of a food processor. Pulse to mix for several seconds.

Take 1 / 2 of cold butter and 1 / 2 of cold shortening, minutes, place in food processor with the dry ingredients and pulse on and off for about 1 Scrape the bowl down twice during this operation.

Take the rest of the cold cold butter and shortening and cut in very briefly to the processor, which is visible to companies cubes of peas. NOTE: Do notProcess at that stage.
